The award ceremony of the winners of the IV All-Russian competition with international participation “BIM-technologies 2019/20” was held in the Ministry of Construction of Russia. This was reported on the website of the Ministry. The press service of the Ministry of Construction reported that the main goal of the Open All-Russian Competition with international participation “BIM-technologies 2019/20” is to identify companies that have practical experience in working with information modeling technologies, and popularize the achievements of the best BIM specialists in Russia.

“Projects are becoming more serious and more interesting every year, using the technologies of various software products”, – said Alexander Kozlov, deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Construction.

The competition is annually attended by the largest Russian and foreign design and construction organizations, architectural bureaus, software developers, development companies, as well as students of specialized universities in Russia. Over four years, the competition received more than 500 projects from different cities of Russia, as well as from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Italy and Hungary.

“BIM modeling is a young, only emerging technology. The task for all of us is to develop it, so the implementation of each of the participating projects is of great importance to us. The international synergy developed at the competition will help all of us test the best world technologies in our work. For example, to build modular construction using information modeling technologies on an industrial scale. Such modern technologies, changing materials and design methods bring the construction industry to a completely new level and make it possible to implement unique projects”, – commented Dmitry Volkov, deputy head of the Ministry of Construction of Russia.

The winners of the BIM-technologies 2019/20 competition were announced in the nominations “Student works using information modeling technologies”, “Information modeling of residential buildings”, “Information modeling of industrial buildings”, “Information modeling of existing objects”, “General approaches to the implementation of information modeling”, “Domestic program development in the field of information modeling”, “Best foreign project” and “Best BIM-idea of the year”.
