Uniform regulatory document developed for design of educational institutions
A set of rules “Buildings for educational institutions. Design rules” was developed by order of the Department of urban planning policy of Moscow.
He has united all the regulatory requirements for designing of such facilities – technical regulations, sanitary regulations and fire safety rules, said the Head of the Department Sergey Levkin.
According to him, the document contains expanded typology of buildings and premises, which is extremely important due to area shortage in case of compacted construction, it also concerns cases of reconstruction as well as new construction, taking into account population fluctuations.
“For such cases the set of rules provide requirements for transformable blocks of primary school. The uniqueness of this type of buildings lies in the fact that transformers can be changed with the needs of education system, that is, they can change from kindergarten to the block of primary school and vice versa, or to combine these two functions,” said Sergey Levkin.
In the words of the Department of urban planning policy, for the first time the set of rules contains the requirements for the anti-terrorist security and energy efficiency of educational institutions. It is very important for urban development of any city, and it matches the approved by the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin state program “Urban planning policy.”
The set of rules “Buildings for educational institutions. Design rules” was approved by the order of the Ministry of Construction of Russia on August 17, 2016.
