Unitary standards of urban land improvement to be created for Russian cities
A set of urban land improvement standards, which will be mandatory for all regions of Russia, will be developed by 2018, said the Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of Russia Mikhail Men.
According to him, AMHC experts (Agency for mortgage housing credit) and specialists from the leading design institutes and architectural bureaus will be involved in creation of these standards. It will be mandatory to use this set of standards in development of urban master plans in the regions of Russia.
“Today, people are interested not only in square meters of housing, they are interested in well-developed life environment. Together with regional and municipal authorities we have to do everything possible to create modern life environment,” said Mikhail Men.
The Head of the Ministry of Construction noted that it is not all about making all the improvement projects typical, as it is happening now to social projects. It is necessary to develop a set of minimum requirements for urban land improvement which will correspond to the challenges of the XXI century and modern concept of comfort.
