Updating the regulatory framework saves builders time and money

The decision to transfer almost a third of the standards to the category of recommendations has become one of the effective measures to simplify the design and construction processes, said Andrei Bochkarev, deputy mayor of Moscow for urban planning and construction.

“The abolition and departure from the outdated regulatory framework will save time and money, but will not affect the safety of the facilities under construction. The previously existing set of mandatory standards prevented the use of the latest working methods, technologies and building materials, and now their use will become easier”, – he said in an interview with the Moscow Perspective newspaper.

He also noted that since the beginning of the year, nine federal laws have already been adopted, including more than 50 amendments that will help optimize processes in the construction industry.

“This is welcome. After all, it is necessary not to fight with the construction site – it needs to be loved and supported. Then the country’s economy will begin to grow faster. Construction is a tool for the development of the country”, – added Andrei Bochkarev.
