Winners of the contest “Best implemented project” will be announced on August 5
The city competition commission determined the winners of “The best implemented project in construction”, Sergey Levkin, head of the Moscow Urban Planning Department, said.
The projects of the winners will be announced on August 5 during a ceremony with the participation of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in the White Hall of the Moscow City Hall.
“The number of finalists, from which the jury members chose the winners of the competition, included 38 construction and restoration projects implemented in Moscow in 2019. This year, the highest competition was observed in four categories: «Construction of apartment buildings of increased comfort», «Construction of educational and educational facilities», «Restoration and adaptation of cultural heritage objects for modern use», «Construction of apartment buildings of the category” standard housing”, – Sergey Levkin said.
According to him, the members of the commission, first of all, drew attention to architectural solutions, harmonious integration into existing development, and infrastructure functionality.
“Of course, improvement, the convenience of internal planning decisions, transport and pedestrian accessibility of facilities, their social significance, played a large role in expert assessment”, – Sergey Levkin emphasized.
The head of the Department recalled that at the same time as the professionals represented by the city competition commission, the projects were evaluated by Muscovites. Residents of the capital could vote at four venues at once:
- on the competition website,
- at the exhibition of competitive projects,
- on the portal «Active Citizen»,
- in the mobile application «We build simply».
“In total, the projects submitted to the competition gathered more than a million votes of the townspeople, which indicates the great interest of Muscovites in the construction projects being implemented in the city and in urban planning policy in general”, – Sergey Levkin explained.
