Working group for BIM implementation to be established in Moscow
For the transition to information modeling (BIM) technologies, it is necessary to first adjust the interaction between business, experts and authorities, says Sergey Levkin, the head of the Department of Urban Development Policy of Moscow. It will also be necessary to work out common principles for the work.
“Today there is a disparity in the actions of construction organizations that create projects using information modeling technologies and government agencies that are working on the options for using BIM for a particular stage of construction. This is due to the fact that unified principles for organizing information interaction have not been worked out and there is no coordination of all the participants in the process, “said Sergey Levkin.
The head of the department noted the need to create a working group that can collectively decide on the implementation of BIM in the industry. It is planned that it will coordinate and form a unified organizational and methodological approach to the implementation of BIM in the implementation of construction projects in Moscow.
“In fact, we intend to provide access to the accumulated information for all representatives of the industry, synchronizing their work and ensuring a unified approach to the processes of information modeling at all stages of the construction of the facility,” said Sergey Lyovkin.
