Augusto Lopez-Claros: In 3 years Russia moves up from 120 to 51 position in Doing Business ranking
In Russia, there is a clear understanding of what is needed for economic growth, and what regulations and rules are necessary for private sector, believes Augusto Lopez-Claros, Director of Global Indicators Group at the World Bank Group.
“Three years ago Russia ranked 120th in the Doing Business report, now it has risen to 51st position. This is an excellent result, this example knows no equals in the world,” said Augusto Lopez-Claros.
According to him, this progress refers to many aspects of doing business: it became easier to start a business, the process of connecting to power networks was significantly simplified – now you can do it faster and cheaper.
