The construction industry successfully coped with the impact of the pandemic

The restrictive measures introduced during the coronavirus pandemic did not significantly affect the timing of the commissioning of apartment buildings in Russia, according to the DOM.RF Analytical Center.

“The results of our research show that the construction industry has successfully coped with the negative economic developments caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Commissioning delays for current projects do not show significant growth, and new project launches are within normal fluctuations. This was largely due to timely measures taken by the state: including support for demand through a program of preferential mortgages for new buildings at 6.5%, as well as subsidizing interest rates on loans to developers, ”says Nikita Belousov, deputy head of the DOM.RF Analytical Center.
