Russian architects ready to study Chinese experience and technologies

13.09.2019

Russian specialists are ready to build in China and study the local experience in urban planning, said Ilya Zalivukhin, vice president of the Union of Moscow Architects, member of the board of the Union of Architects of Russia.

“China, as far as I could see, over the past 20 years has been very successful in developing its cities. Of course, it is necessary to adopt the experience of such an integrated approach. For 70 years, Russia and China have interacted quite a lot, exchanged experiences in this area. Once Soviet metro builders came to China, and now a large Chinese construction corporation has won a tender for the construction of a metro line in Moscow, ”Ilya Zalivukhin said.

The architect believes that China has accumulated vast experience in infrastructure construction.

“For us, to adopt such an experience is to learn new technologies and save money, meaning not only Moscow, but also St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk. On the other hand, it is possible to invite Russian architects to China, this will be an excellent example of cultural exchanges, ”Ilya Zalivukhin noted.
