Doing Business showed positive changes in the Russian economy
Improving Russia’s position in the World Bank rating reflects the positive changes that have occurred in the country’s economy over the past few years, said Maxim Berlovich, head of the Moscow Territorial Administration of the Etalon Group.
“The Doing Business rating does not fully reflect all the realities of doing business, but it is an important and universal international metric. And the fact that Russia is improving its position in the ranking alongside leading developed countries such as Austria, Japan, France, speaks of significant positive changes in our economy over the past 5-6 years, ”he said.
Maxim Berlovich also noted that the reforms implemented by the Moscow Government in the field of construction regulation played a significant role in the growth of our country’s rating.
“For the second year in a row, Russia has made a breakthrough in the Doing Business rating and the changes carried out by the Stroykompleks have made a significant contribution to improving the rating. Such progress was made possible thanks to the systematic work of the city authorities to create favorable conditions for doing business. First of all, we are talking about the digitalization of public services and services and rationing the timing of their provision. For developers who are focused on development, eliminating unnecessary administrative barriers and simplifying procedures means accelerating the processes of reinvestment and expanding activities. At the same time, in recent years, the requirements for construction companies themselves have increased, which leads to increased transparency in the conduct of financial and economic activities. In the end, by common efforts we solve the main problem: meeting the needs of residents in affordable, comfortable and high-quality housing and creating a competitive construction industry relative to other countries”, the expert emphasized.
