Nadezhda Kosareva

President of the Institute for Urban Economics Foundation
Graduated from the faculty of economics of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. Majoring in national planning. Completed full-time postgraduate studies of the All-Union R&D Institute of system research of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Ph.D. in Economics.

1985-1986 – works as economist in the All-Union R&D Institute of system research. After that she held the position of senior research officer in the Institute for National Economic Forecasts of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
1992-1995 – consultant of Urban Institute (USA) as part of the program of the USA Agency for international development and technological support in development of housing in Russia.
One of the initiators of establishing the Foundation “The Institute of Urban Economics”, which she heads for 20 years.
A member of the Council of the President of the Russian Federation for Implementation of Priority National Projects and Demographic Policy, the Council of the President of the Russian Federation for Housing Policy and Enhancement of Affordability of Housing, the Advisory Council of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Public Council of the Ministry of Regional Development, the Public Council of the Federal Service of State Registration, Land Register and Mapping, the Public Council of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
