Andrey Nikitin: high figures of Russia in the DoingBusiness ranking create business-friendly conditions
Progress of Russia in the World Bank ranking DoingBusiness has to convince potential investors of the safety and attractiveness of doing business in the country, said the General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) Andrey Nikitin.
In the framework of implementation of the presidential decrees on improving business climate in Russia and promotion of the country’s position in Doing Business rating, working groups of the National Entrepreneurial Initiative (NEI) were formed. This activity is conducted in cooperation with ASI.
“In order to take advantage of the progress of Russia in the World Bank ranking, NEI and ASI associate with each other in format of “road maps”. This helps to identify the most serious obstacles for business development,” said Andrey Nikitin.
According to him, the Agency in cooperation with the NEI has already generated 11 “road maps”, which allowed to take enact about 70 federal laws that reduce administrative barriers for entrepreneurs.
“Next in line is a “road map” which describes measures to promote Russia in Doing Business ranking in such areas as protecting of minority investors, resolving insolvency and getting credit with respect to The legal rights of borrowers and lenders,” explained Nikitin.
