Tatiana Polidy: Russia can improve performance in Doing Business rating
Russia can improve its position in the World Bank’s Doing Business ranking next year, says Tatiana Polidy, the Executive Director of the fund “Institute of Economics and the City”, Head of division “Real Estate Market” of the Fund of the Institute for Urban Economics.
According to her, the reform of regulations of construction procedures can serve as an impetus. For example, the expected adoption of the land use and development rules (PZZ) in Moscow will lead to abandonment of some procedures and reduction of terms for obtaining development plan of a land plot (GPZU).
“Improvement of Russian indicators in the rating is a positive result, which is largely provided by Moscow. In the capital we witness the active process of transfer procedures related to construction to electronic format, increase of information availability on the necessary procedures, moreover training sessions for developers are held in Moscow,” noted Tatiana Polidy.
