Plan of underground utility systems within MKAD to be ready before the end of 2016
The Consolidated plan of underground utility systems and structures within the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) is planned to work out before the end of the year, reports the portal of the Construction Complex according to the words of the Head of the Department of the urban policy Sergey Levkin.
“The Consolidated plan is an information resource that will contain unified information about the types and spatial arrangement of existing and planned underground utilities and structures. The developer needs to know not only what is situated under the ground, but also what will soon be implemented. In order to prevent unexpected obstacles, this information is useful for him at the beginning of his project. Shaping of the Consolidated Plan will be completed by the end of this year,” said Sergey Levkin during discussions at Urban Talks roundtable on innovations in the system of design approval in Moscow.
According to him, the world has very few examples of such resources. “Today, only the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany have similar tools for the investment community,” said the Head of the Department.
As the Deputy Mayor for urban development and construction Marat Khusnullin previously stated, this document will include all underground parts of buildings, underground utilities and their projects. “This plan will optimize the process of connecting new facilities to utility networks and significantly reduce the timing of engineering survey work for developers,” added the Head of the Construction Complex.
The decision to work out the plan can be considered as a next step for support of construction industry in a challenging economic environment, along with lowering of administrative procedures and conversion of state services in electronic format.
